Digital ID available

New Mexico supports digital ID in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Samsung Wallet is not currently supported.

Apple Wallet Available

1 Open the Wallet app on your iPhone (iOS 15.4 or later required).
2 Tap the + button and choose 'Driver's License or State ID'.
3 Select New Mexico from the state list.
4 Scan the front and back of your New Mexico driver's license or ID card.
5 Complete the face and motion scan to verify your identity.
6 Your request is sent to the New Mexico MVD. You'll receive a notification once approved — usually within a few minutes.

Google Wallet Available

1 Open Google Wallet on your Android device.
2 Tap + and select 'ID documents', then 'Driver's license or state ID'.
3 Choose New Mexico.
4 Scan the front and back of your New Mexico driver's license or ID.
5 Complete the selfie step to verify your identity.
6 The New Mexico MVD will process and approve your digital ID within a few minutes.
