Digital ID available

Virginia supports digital ID through Apple Wallet and the VA MiD app. Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet are not currently supported.

  1. 1Open the Wallet app on your iPhone.
  2. 2Tap the + button in the top-right corner.
  3. 3Select 'Driver's License or State ID'.
  4. 4Follow the onscreen instructions to scan your Virginia driver's license or ID and verify your identity.
  5. 5Once approved by the Virginia DMV, your ID will be available in Apple Wallet on your iPhone and any paired Apple Watch.

  1. 1Download the VA MiD app from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. 2Create or sign in to your Virginia DMV account.
  3. 3Follow the in-app prompts to scan the front and back of your Virginia driver's license or ID.
  4. 4Complete the identity verification step.
  5. 5Your Mobile ID will be available in the app once approved by the Virginia DMV.
