West Virginia supports digital ID through the WV MiD app, Apple Wallet, and Samsung Wallet. Google Wallet is not currently supported.

  1. 1Open the Wallet app on your iPhone (iOS 15.4 or later required).
  2. 2Tap the + button and choose 'Driver's License or State ID'.
  3. 3Select West Virginia from the state list.
  4. 4Scan the front and back of your West Virginia driver's license or ID card.
  5. 5Complete the face and motion scan to verify your identity.
  6. 6Your request is sent to the West Virginia DMV. You'll receive a notification once approved — usually within a few minutes.

  1. 1Open Samsung Wallet on your Samsung device.
  2. 2Tap + and select 'ID'.
  3. 3Choose West Virginia.
  4. 4Scan the front and back of your West Virginia driver's license or ID.

  6. 6The West Virginia DMV will verify and approve your digital ID.
