West Virginia supports digital ID through the WV MiD app, Apple Wallet, and Samsung Wallet. Google Wallet is not currently supported.

Apple Wallet Available
  1. 1 Open the Wallet app on your iPhone (iOS 15.4 or later required).
  2. 2 Tap the + button and choose 'Driver's License or State ID'.
  3. 3 Select West Virginia from the state list.
  4. 4 Scan the front and back of your West Virginia driver's license or ID card.
  5. 5 Complete the face and motion scan to verify your identity.
  6. 6 Your request is sent to the West Virginia DMV. You'll receive a notification once approved — usually within a few minutes.

Samsung Wallet Available
  1. 1 Open Samsung Wallet on your Samsung device.
  2. 2 Tap + and select 'ID'.
  3. 3 Choose West Virginia.
  4. 4 Scan the front and back of your West Virginia driver's license or ID.
  5. 5 Complete the identity verification step.
  6. 6 The West Virginia DMV will verify and approve your digital ID.

  2. 2 Create or sign in to your West Virginia DMV account.
  3. 3 Follow the in-app prompts to scan the front and back of your West Virginia driver's license or ID.
  4. 4 Complete the identity verification step.
  5. 5 Your Mobile ID will be available in the app once approved by the West Virginia DMV.
